Topshop outfit experimentation Summer 2014

I am a massive fan of Topshop's clothing, as you all most likely are aware of, and the summer stock in Topshop is simply to die for this year. With this obsession in mind I decided to drag a few friends to the changing rooms of the spectacular Topshop and experiment with some of the stock available currently.

Whilst completing this, I tried to keep in mind that I need to ensure the outfits are visually abstract and creative, yet I need to display different outfits suiting to different preferences. Therefore within this collection of experiments I have included looks suitable for various likings. I feel as if some of these outfits can be extremely suitable for festival wear, which I understand is a highlight of many people's summer. I have experimented with different items of clothing which could typically be viewed as "never going together" as one of these models explained, however much to our surprise, the appearance of some of these outfits had actually worked well and reflect summer in various different formats and styles.

Hope you lot enjoyed that, I really enjoy writing fashion posts, and look forward to writing more in the near future!

Film reviews

I'm going to share with you all some of the films I have recently seen and basically, review them. Hopefully this should give you an idea whether or not to spend (waste) your time watching a film or not.

Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014)

I recently went to see the much raved about transformers movie, which I was fairly excited for as I loved the other 3. Now i hadn't had the highest of expectations for this film as I found that with the series of the transformers films, from the first to the third, the films gradually got worse. However I can't begin to explain how amazing this film actually was! It was by far the best transformers film, I have never felt myself unintentionally lift my hands to my mouth and gasp like I had throughout this film. It had several aspects of tension, comedy and shock. I was literally speechless after the film, it really was incredible and I would highly recommend that you all go see it right this second!!!

Stuck in Love (2012)

Now with this film, I can't say I watched it for the first time recently, as I've probably watched it over and over again for weeks now. I suppose I've already gave it away how spectacular this film actually is. I'm one who's not typically for the sad, romance films, however this one intrigued me, the story line is completely unique and really is surprisingly amazing. It also has aspects of comedy, but also romance. I tend to find films that aren't realistic quite annoying, as I'm an awfully realistic person, so this film is perfect for anyone who shares the same view, as it's such a realistic story line, an awkward teenager forces their self into developing a social life. It's a great film and has genuinely given me a whole new view on life itself, and this film really is unbelievable for leaving that effect on me.

Mrs. Brown's Boys D'Movie (2014)

I had very high expectations for this particular film as I am in love with the episodes, and Mrs Brown's Boys is probably one of my favourite programmes. However, I was sadly disappointed with this film, I don't think the storyline was very creative and the typical comical aspect of Mrs Browns Boys was actually kept minimal which was a shame. There were a few comical sections however I did get fairly bored throughout part of the film. Typically the episodes are set in a small typical Dublin house, however within the film there were very few scenes which were actually set inside the house, which fair enough may be quite dull if the scenes were all set in the living room, however in my opinion I do think this ruined the usual aspect of Mrs Brown's Boys. If you haven't seen the programmes, well then I would definitely recommend you to watch them! However I was quite disappointed with the turnout of this film unfortunately.

High street haul

Hello lovelies
This is going to be a short post showing you beautiful lot my recent buys and briefly review them. I had been locked up for weeks during my exam period with revision, so the second I was free I took the first chance I got to go shopping! here are a few of my buys from the high street..

First up, I of course went straight to Topshop (one of my all time favourites) and bought a few goodies, especially now that there is a fab sale on! Firstly I wen over to the Topshop brands section of the sale and picked up this yellow, chic crop top and these colourful high waisted shorts. I was extremely pleased with these products as I feel as if they match well with most of my wardrobe and are perfect for summer!! Lucky me! This yellow crop top is extremely comfortable and big, it goes with almost any coloured pair of jeans, shorts, skirts, or maybe even over a dress! I personally think it goes best with either bright colours such as this pair of shorts or a dark grey, navy, or black colour. These shorts are also extremely comfortable and light so are great for sunny days and even those not so fabulous days with tights!

Next up from Topshop, I visited Sheffield lately to do a bit of shopping and obviously was overly excited to find that there was an even better sale here! I picked up this bright orange and silver/metalic coloured skort. I love skorts, I genuinely feel like whoever made up this oh so amazing idea is simply a genius, they're comfy yet stylish! What more could I possibly ask for in a skort? I think this skort goes amazingly well with plain, simple tops such as this one I am wearing also from Topshop. This combo works wonders for nights out and can be dressed up further with a different choice of top, as this I feel makes the outfit more casual, which I am fairly fond of.

As I go through the process of writing this blog post I am gradually beginning to realise my obsession with Topshop is becoming ridiculous. I more recently took another visit to Topshop and purchased this lovely pair of very very dark grey/navy jeans which almost look like a faded black. I think this colour is such a great choice as it creates a more edgy look and matches excellently with most of my wardrobe and i'm sure many other's too! They're the Jamie jeans and are unbelievably comfy I am quite literally obsessed and will be living in these for the rest of eternity.
This top however is not from Topshop, it's only from the incredible H&M, this shop is another favourite of mine, the clothing range and stock is simply to die for (or to pay for, depends how overly exaggerated you are). It's quite see through but I really think this and the sewing of the top helps finish that edgy look that the jeans are portraying. It's also unbelievably comfy and great for summer as it's so light, so this is a definite 10 out of 10 recommendation and you must have this in your wardrobe!

I stepped into Dorothy Perkins recently for a change, I went straight over to the shoes section and was surprisingly impressed. They had a lot of shoes of all different kinds to choose from. I found these really cool metallic and nude/ivory coloured chunky heels and fell in love. As you can probably tell I've worn them a couple of times since purchasing them and again have been impressed, these beautiful heels were surprisingly comfy and easy to walk in which is a massive advantage and probably a necessity to be able to walk in them, so it's 2 thumbs up from me for this pair!

I am obsessed with fragrances, I feel much more confident on a daily basis if I feel like I smell nice. I recently discovered this cute little perfume and was instantly attracted by the simple yet attractive and  creative packing. As soon as I had smelt the wonderful product I literally almost ran for the cashier because it smells so nice!! I can't really explain the smell, other than what's on the box, it just really is a lovely smell and I'm becoming slightly hooked onto this marvellous and handy sized, cute product, which makes you smell as a Goddess should!

And lastly I went back to Topshop and picked up this handy and stylish little leather backpack which I have been loving. It has a lot of room and is extremely easy to carry around as you just swing it over your shoulder or use both straps and carry it the traditional way (on your back). It's such a great valued bag and I have been continuously impressed by it, definitely worth buying it as it's so handy for so many different purposes!

I have just realised this post hasn't ended up as short as I had initially anticipated, but oh well the more the merrier for you gorgeous lot!
